Dr Xing-Gang Yan received the B.Sc. Degree from Shaanxi Normal University, in 1985, the M.Sc. Degree from Qufu Normal University in 1991, and the Ph.D. Degree of Engineering from Northeastern University, China in 1997. Currently, he is Associate Professor of Control Engineering at the University of Kent, United Kingdom. He worked as a Research Fellow/Research Associate in the Northwestern Polytechnical University, and the University of Hong Kong, China, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He was a Lecturer in Qingdao University, China from 1991 to 1994. He is an IEEE member, IET member, HEA Fellow and a Charted Engineer. He received the Best Application Paper Award of ASian Control Conference (ASCC) in Fukuoka, Japan in 2019, and the Outstanding Editor-in-Chief from Bilingual Publishing Group in 2022. He serves as the member of the Editorial Board of several engineering journals including IET Control Theory and Applications, Journal of Franklin Institute, Complexity and Energies etc., and the member of TPC for a number of international conferences. He has published three books, six invited book chapters and over 200 referred papers in the area of control engineering. His research interests including sliding mode control, decentralised control, fault detection and isolation, and time delay systems with applications.

Gianni D'Angelo is RTD.B at the University of Salerno, Italy. From 14 April 2021 he is qualified as Second Level University Professor for the Sector 01/B1 - Computer Science, and from 29 April 2021 as Second Level University Professor for the Sector 09/H1 - Information Processing Systems. He teaches ``Computer Networks'' and ``Computer Architecture'' at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Salerno. He taught "Fundamentals of Computer Science and Programming" at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the same University. From 2012 to 2019 he was Adjunct Professor of "Elements of Computer Science" at the Department of Law, Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods of the University of Sannio, Benevento, Italy. He obtained a Master's Degree (cum laude) in Engineering Computer Science and his PhD in Computer Science, Applied Electromagnetism and Telecommunications from the University of Salerno, Salerno, Italy, in 1998 and 2003, respectively. His research interests concern the development and implementation of intelligence-based algorithms Artificial, Deep Learning and Machine Learning for the discovery of knowledge in the context of BIG DATA and implemented for high performance machines - HPC, and Parallel Computing He has gained experience in the world of pattern recognition, neural networks, fuzzy logic, ANFIS systems , genetic and evolutionary algorithms, and parallel programming applied in various scientific and industrial fields. He is the author of numerous articles published in international journals, books and conferences and is currently a reviewer, editorial board and guest editor for several international journals.

Dr. Wael A. Altabey is a research associate professor since 2018 at International Institute for Urban Systems Engineering (IIUSE), Southeast University, Nanjing, China, and National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Basalt Fiber Production and Application Technology, Southeast University, Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, after completing a postdoctoral research fellowship for two years (2016-2018), Before that he was an Associate professor at department of Mechanical Engineering, Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt. Since 2016 his researches have focused on the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based schemes for structural health monitoring (SHM) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for damage classification, detection, diagnosis, prediction, and dynamic response analysis in composite, and steel Structures (such as aircraft, wind turbines, pipes, bridges and industrial machines) at National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Basalt Fiber Production and Application Technology, Southeast University, Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. This is the only national R&D platform awarded by the National Development and Reform Commission in this industry with more than 30 national authorized patents. The center's international and national awards indicators have reached international and local leading levels and filling many technical gaps in China. He participated in several research activities, which achieved from NSFC and private sectors. He listed in Stanford List of World's Top 2% Scientists from 2020, until now. He was a research fellowship at INTI International University & Colleges, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 15 October 2023 to 31 Dec 2025. He is Member in Intelligent and Resilient Infrastructure (IRI) Center, this is the official center affiliated with the Southeast-Leeds-Cambridge universities collaboration program. He was research scientist at Nanjing Zhixing Information Technology Co., Ltd., Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, for 6 years. Dr. Jamel Orfi obtained his BSc of Mechanical Engineering from Laval University, Canada and his MSc and PhD Degrees from Sherbrooke University, Canada in 1995. He worked in Tunisia and Canada as assistant Professor. He joined King Saud University (KSU) in 2007. His research interests focus on desalination processes and analysis of thermal and desalination systems, as well as on renewable energy applications. He developed several national and international collaborations on research projects on power and desalination, solar energy, evaporative cooling systems, and brine discharge problems. He has several publications including more than 115 journal papers (most are ISI) and 40 papers in international conferences, 7 book chapters and one granted US patent on solar desalination. Dr. Orfi had been between 2012-2014 a member of KSU’s MED (Multiple Effect Distillation) technology transfer team collaborating with SWCC (Saline Water Conversion Corporation). He is a Fellow KA.CARE Energy Research and Innovation since 2019. He is involved in teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate students on Desalination and Energy Sciences.

Mihaela Popescu was born in Craiova, Romania, in 1965. She received the Engineering degree and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Craiova, Romania, in 1988 and 2001, respectively. She also received a Certificate of Habilitation in Electrical Engineering in 2016. She is currently a Professor at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electromechanics, Environment and Applied Informatics, University of Craiova, Romania and Director of Doctoral School of Electrical and Energy Engineering. Her main field of interest includes energy efficiency, power converters, adjustable-speed drives, active power filters, and power quality, with more than 250 journal and conference papers. She obtained through national competition, as a director, 5 multiannual research projects with an equivalent total budget of about 2,226,000 Euro, she was a research team member in other 20 projects, and is the author of 6 patents. Prof. Popescu is an expert of the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance Higher Education. She is a senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a member of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, IEEE Industry Applications Society, a senior member of the Association of Computer Science and Information Technology and an academic member of the Electrical Engineering Research Unit in Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER).

Professor Hong Hocheng has advised more than 60 Master and 20 PhD theses and published more than 175 journal papers and 40 patents in the area of manufacturing. His research interest lies in innovative manufacturing processes and recycling. He has been the principal investigator of more than 50 projects related to simulation/design of nontraditional machining, machining of composite materials, micro/nano-fabrication, reliability analysis of MEMS devices, and reclaim metals from industrial waste.

He is an Auxiliar Professor at ISEP – School of Engineering, Porto, Portugal. He is an Adjunct Teacher in Instituto Politécnico do Porto Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, and Researcher in Associated Laboratory for Energy Transports and Aeronautics. His researches focus on novel dielectric material for application of electrical power system; condition monitoring for smart electrical grid; machine learning for high-temperature polymer-based dielectrics; conductor aging in smart electrical grid; high voltage engineering. He is a reviewer of about 20 international Journals. He is editorial members of 4 international Journals. He was 5 conference chairs. He authored and co-authored over 70 journal publications and has 10 patents. He is a senior member of IEEE. He has attracted more than 1 million dollars in research grants from industrial partners, National Natural Science Foundation of China, The State Key Laboratories Development Program of China and National Program on Basic Research Project

He is currently working as Professor, Computer Science and Engineering at Panimalar Engineering College, Chennai.
