Dr. Gordon Huang is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Energy and Environment, and Executive Director of the Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities at the University of Regina, Canada. He holds BSC from Peking University (China), MSc from Simon Fraser University (Canada) and PhD from McMaster University (Canada). Since the 1990s, Huang has led or been involved in over 100 environment-related research projects, produced over 600 peer-refereed international journal papers, and supervised over 100 Master/PhD students. He is the president of the International Society for Environmental Information Sciences. He has also served the United Nations as an international expert in the field of risk management for drinking water safety. The integrated simulation, optimization and risk assessment techniques which he proposed have been used by peers in studying water resources and environmental systems in a number of countries.

Professor Hong Hocheng has advised more than 60 Master and 20 PhD theses and published more than 175 journal papers and 40 patents in the area of manufacturing. His research interest lies in innovative manufacturing processes and recycling. He has been the principal investigator of more than 50 projects related to simulation/design of nontraditional machining, machining of composite materials, micro/nano-fabrication, reliability analysis of MEMS devices, and reclaim metals from industrial waste.

He is an Auxiliar Professor at ISEP – School of Engineering, Porto, Portugal. Dr Xing-Gang Yan received the B.Sc. Degree from Shaanxi Normal University, in 1985, the M.Sc. Degree from Qufu Normal University in 1991, and the Ph.D. Degree of Engineering from Northeastern University, China in 1997. Currently, he is Associate Professor of Control Engineering at the University of Kent, United Kingdom. He worked as a Research Fellow/Research Associate in the Northwestern Polytechnical University, and the University of Hong Kong, China, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He was a Lecturer in Qingdao University, China from 1991 to 1994. He is an IEEE member, IET member, HEA Fellow and a Charted Engineer. He received the Best Application Paper Award of ASian Control Conference (ASCC) in Fukuoka, Japan in 2019, and the Outstanding Editor-in-Chief from Bilingual Publishing Group in 2022. He serves as the member of the Editorial Board of several engineering journals including IET Control Theory and Applications, Journal of Franklin Institute, Complexity and Energies etc., and the member of TPC for a number of international conferences. He has published three books, six invited book chapters and over 200 referred papers in the area of control engineering. His research interests including sliding mode control, decentralised control, fault detection and isolation, and time delay systems with applications.

Professor Lingai Luo is an Exceptional Class Research Director (ECRD) at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), based at the Laboratoire de Thermique et Energie de Nantes (LTEN-CNRS UMR6607) in France. With a vast research portfolio spanning thermal, process, and energy engineering, her work encompasses diverse areas such as combustion, energy balance analysis, solar refrigeration, adsorption processes, and thermoelectric heat pumps. She has also delved into solar energy, energy storage, and innovative fluidic, thermal, and reactive components. Professor Luo's expertise extends to energy system integration, optimization, and topology optimization assisted by machine learning. She advocates for a multi-scale approach to energy efficiency optimization, emphasizing the importance of intensification at local, component, and system scales. Her innovative strategies for fluid management aim to optimize fluid distribution in various devices and their integration into multifunctional systems. With numerous publications and editorial roles in prestigious journals, Professor Luo is recognized for her significant contributions to the field of energy engineering.

Dr. Xianguo Li is a Professor of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, University Research Chair (2014-2021), and the Director for the Fuel Cell and Green Energy Laboratory at the University of Waterloo. His research interests include hydrogen generation and hydrogen fuel cells, liquid fuel atomization and sprays, and green energy systems, as well as the thermal management of power batteries for electric vehicles. Dr. Li has published extensively, including the book “Principles of Fuel Cells” (single-authored) and “Fuel Cells for Transportation: Fundamental Principles and Applications” (co-edited). He serves as the editor in chief for the International Journal of Green Energy, Field Chief Editor for Frontiers in Thermal Engineering; Vice President, Technical Program, Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering; President of the Fuel Cell Division, International Association for Hydrogen Energy; and President, International Association for Green Energy (IAGE). Professor Sam Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in Ceramics in 1991 from The University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. In 2006 he was promoted to tenured full professor in Singapore Nanyang Technological University. In 2018 he established and served as Director of Centre for Advanced Thin Films and Devices in Southwest University, China. In 2023, he joined in the School of Aeronautics, Harbin Institute of Technology and also serves HIT Zhengzhou Research Institute (https://homepage.hit.edu.cn/samzhang). Prof. Zhang was elected as a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), a Fellow of Thin Films Society (FTFS) in 2018, and a Fellow of Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIoMMM) in 2007. Dr. Rostand Tayong is a Senior Lecturer in Automotive Engineering at the University of Bedfordshire (United Kingdom). His research activities encompass Automotive and Mechanical Engineering, Materials Testing and Characterisation, Acoustics and Vibration methods. His main work focuses on composite materials with an emphasis on 3D woven composites. He has (co-)authored more than 40 publications including book chapter contributions, journal articles and conference proceedings. Prior to his present position, Dr Rostand Tayong worked at the University of Bristol (United Kingdom) as a Research Associate. He has been the Principal Investigator (PI) for many funded research projects including some Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded projects which aimed at characterising 3D Woven Composite materials using ultrasound methods. He was awarded many recognitions and prizes including the young scientist grant 2012 from the European Acoustics Association (EAA), the international young scientist grant 2012 from the International Noise Control Engineering (INCE, InterNoise) and the 2018 best presentation at the Early Career Researcher Event organized by the Research Centre in Non-Destructive Evaluation (RCNDE) in Nottingham (United Kingdom). Prof. Dai-Yeun Jeong is presently the Director of Asia Climate Change Education Center and an emeritus prof. of environmental sociology at Jeju National University in South Korea. He received BA and MA degree in sociology from Korea University (South Korea), and PhD in environmental sociology from University of Queensland (Australia). He was a prof. of environmental sociology at Jeju National University (South Korea) from 1981 to 2012. Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has been retired due to the age limit of 67, following academic life of 45 years. He published over 80 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 120 conferences and symposia in international and national level as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited speaker, speaker or Poster presenter. He served the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. In particular, he joined in last six years (2014 - 2019) over 60 conferences as Speaker, Keynote Speaker and Conference Co-Chair organized by different companies in different countries. Additionally, he retired at the end of November 2019, and contributed with Keynote/Plenary Speeches over 180 Virtual/Webinar Conferences, in the coronavirus outbreak in four year of his retirement, 2020 and 2023.
